About this pairing
This is an exciting, complimentary pairing between two typey dogs. Onnea has produced lovely + very capable pups. I am excited for this litter which offers beneficial genetic diversity for the future, along with quality + potential. I expect the pups will be excellent sport & conformation prospects.
Onnea has OFA good hips & Kyle has OFA fair hips. Kyle’s hips are well formed & his pedigree contains good orthopedics + Onnea has produced good orthopedics. Onnea has OFA clear eyes, cardiac, elbows, prcd-PRA free & Embark tested free. Kyle is an affected for Choroidal Hypoplasia (eyes) which has no impact quality of life and there is no breed relevant genetic test for. CH is diagnosed thru puppy eye exams as clear or affected. Onnea is unaffected – the pups will be assumed carriers & will be eye tested before going home. Kyle has OFA normal patellas, has a clear echocardiogram (advanced cardiac) and is prcd-PRA free. Kyle’s OFA results here. The litter will have an estimated COI% of approximately 20%.
Kyle is a handsome male with a lovely expression & hypnotic movement. Kyle has received Award of Merits (AOM) in conformation, Best Expression several years at the breed National Specialty along with Best Smooth – as just some of his accomplishments with limited showing. He has passed 2x Herding Instinct Tests and showed lovely calm + balanced work. His sire has .42 pennhip, OFA clear heart, patellas a clear heart & CH (eyes). His dam has OFA good hips, clear eyes, clear heart & normal patellas – with maternal grandparents having OFA good hips, clear hearts & normal patellas.
Both Onnea & Kyle have nice herding ability + stable temperaments. Onnea has earned her PSCA Silver Versatility award and is close to completing her Gold Versatility award. This is a well thought out pairing with a lot of French (lineage) influence & I am very thankful to Kim of Rare Metttle for her collaboration in making this litter possible.
This exciting combo should produce bright & fun pups capable of anything. Black (heterzygous Kbky), grey (Kbkly w/ greying gene) and merle (Kbky M/m) are possible. Coats will be modest to light – Kyle is genetically Ff and Onnea is FF. Dogs will be very traditional in type and temperament.
Puppies will be AKC registered, microchipped, vaccinated, Embark tested, OFA eye evaluated & come home with a goodie bag. The litter is being raised following aspects of both AviDog & Puppy Culture protocols.
Onnea’s A and B-litters (now 2 & nearly 3) have produced conformation champions, others who are majored pointed or pointed in conformation, the #1 fastest Pyrsheps ranked in fastcat – running 26+ and 28+ MPH & three PSCA Versatility Bronze awards. Her offspring are competing, titled + excelling in agility, flyball, disc, rally & full of potential. They receive high remarks about their temperaments & confidence out in the world. Onnea herself is a treasure & I am glad for more Onnea babies out there with this litter.
