the PYRWILD A-Litter

After many, many years of planning & dreaming the PYRWILD A-Litter came into fruition ! This was an outcross (FR x PL) litter that has a pedigree that is full of exceptionally talented working + sport dogs. You can see all about it on the A-Litter page along with the weekly updates & photos.

I am so proud of my special-special French girl Onnea for creating these amazing puppies & being such a wonderful mother. It was an absolute joy to raise these puppies & I couldn’t be more proud of them. They have excellent type which showed from a young age – along with really beautiful heads. They were lively and vigorous from the day they were born. They loved to play and explore with confidence & curiosity. There was no doubt how special these puppies are and just how bright their futures would be ! 🌟

The dynamic duo is PYRWILD Astro Action “Axl” the sweet little black boy & PYRWILD Altered State “Astra” the sassy little harlequin girl.

PYRWILD A-Litter

After a few hiccups, like my van having something go wrong just days before we were supposed to leave, Onnea, Midna and I headed off on the 13 hr long journey to Montana (in a prius !) It was a smooth and beautiful drive. Along with a lovely little stay.

After a successful visit, we hope for puppies in December.

The sire of the litter, Max, works on a sheep ranch almost daily. He also has successfully started his ASCA herding trial career. During the visit, I was lucky to be able to watch Max work his magic sorting sheep and bringing out different groups to various pastures in the nearly freezing, dewey Montana morning. It is very interesting watching ‘real life’ work vs trials. Midna also got to practice working some sheep – she is very keen !

After the long drive and upon the first meeting, Onnea and Max instantly hit it off. They really liked each other and compliment each other quite well as a couple. They were really cute together and meshed well. I couldn’t be more pleased with this pairing !

Max is a really handsome young dog. He has nice drives, beautiful structure and with great self-confidence. Both of his parents are very nice too. There is no lack of Pyrenean-Spark or breed type with these dogs ! I’ve had my eye on Max and followed him since he was younger. He has been pretty high on my ‘studs to use’ list – and for good reason ! This litter is going to be exceptional.

Keeping fingers crossed and hoping for many healthy puppies ! Very exciting litter & Onnea is going to love being a momma 💝

My long awaited first litter will be this fall ! My first litter has been a looong time coming & this combo has been several years in the making ! The planning started in 2020, both Pipas and Onnea have passed their health testing with flying colors in the meantime & I have imported frozen semen from France for the breeding. I am very excited about this combo !! Onnea is an excellent bitch who is very dear to my heart & Pipas is a handsome, open young male with two very talented parents. His mom competes in agility & his dad competed in French ring, herding & agility.

Both poil long and face rase type are expected from this combo. Very traditional in type. Puppies will be black or harlequin. Please see the Litters page for additional information this litter & my breeding.

In other news, Zae has earned his Open Obedience title (CDX) and earned his last leg with a WIN in the Open A class !! So proud of him. There are only a small handful of Pyrsheps who have earned this title.

Zae is very close to this Pyrshep Verstatility MASTERS award ! The highest award through our breed club… and we still have plenty of titles on our ‘to-do list’ 😵 He truly is an exceptional dog who is extraordinary at everything he does. I am beyond proud of him. 💕
