PYRWILD had its Open House & Welcoming party to celebrate it’s relocation this past weekend 🎉 A big, special day.  Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our wonderful arena.  We have such a kind supportive community surrounding PYRWILD and I am so grateful for each and every one of you.  Fun was had by all. 😃 This is only just the beginning of more exciting things to come !

Such a wonderful day.  My heart is full and happy. ❤️

The next Teeter Tune-Ups will run the whole month of November.  This online workshop will give you all the tools you need to Tune-Up your dogs seesaw performance or build a strong foundation (no heavy duty tools necessary !!)  This class has benefited countless students from all around the world ! 🌏📚

I also have some upcoming workshops at my arena in Veneta, OR.  Focusing on foundation and beginner skills.  See flyer below and email to register.  Spots are limited and are filling quickly.

Additional classes are starting with some openings at my arena in Veneta (10 miles west of Eugene):

  • Tuesday 1pm – Mixed Level (must be proficient at obstacles/sequencing)
  • Wednesday 1:15pm – Competition
  • Wednesday 5:15pm – Intermediate

In other news, Zae is nearly qualified for Nationals (about 100 points to go !) and needs four more jumpers scores to qualify for World Team Tryouts !  🎉 He has 750+ pts overall and is 7 QQ’s away from his championship (MACH) !!

Little Onnea is 6.5 months old and still perfect as ever.  I am so grateful for her !  Such a special little girl. ❤️

 

Introducing the PYRWILD Arena

So excited to share that PYRWILD now has its very own arena with a wonderful sand surface located 10 miles west of Eugene.

Lots of hard work and love has gone into getting this arena set up and ready to go for my super students.  A 10 year dream come true.  ❤️

Previous classes will continue.  Although, some class times have shifted.

⚠️NEW CLASSES

Starting the 19th of Aug

Sport Puppy Class 🐶 
Monday 4pm-5pm (8 weeks long)
A fun class to build your puppies thinking skills, confidence, body awareness and engagement while also building foundation skills to set the pups up for a successful sport future.
Handler Fitness Class 🏃🏻‍♀️ 
Monday 6:45pm-7:15pm (6 weeks long)
This will be a fun, laidback class that works on different handler skills that will set up handler’s for success in agility.  Building sprint stamina, develop quick twitch muscles, improving foot work (two step front crosses- can you do it ?) and human warmups and stretches for agility !!  We warm up our dogs before they run- but us handlers are athletes, too !

🎓UPCOMING WORKSHOPS

Teeter Tune-Ups – Aug 24th 📐
AM Teeter Foundations, Skill & Confidence Building 10am-12:30pm
OK for dogs 8 months+ and dogs who could improve their teeter performance or dogs just learning the teeter.
PM Advanced Teeter Skills 1pm-3:30pm 
For dogs who have a teeter and want to work more advanced skills. Independence, lateral teeters, impulse control and other fun teeter challenges.
Startline Skills – Aug 25th  🤓
AM Startline Foundations 10am-12:30
This workshop is great for dogs just beginning or dogs who have issues with startlines.  We will build the pieces for the dogs startline behavior and stay while making it a fun game for the dog and also building their anticipation for the release.
PM Startline Scenarios 1pm-3:30pm
For dogs who have a startline and dogs that are or will be competing.  Will work through different startline scenarios that are often seen at trials and handling maneuvers to navigate them.  We often forget this part of training that will set the dog up for success for when you do get to a trial.

One Month with Onnea

She is an absolute dream come true.  Well, maybe even more incredible than I could’ve ever dreamt.  I don’t know what else to say.  I just love her.
