Thank You 2018, Hello 2019

2018 was such a cool year- even if it was far from easy.  From following my dreams and moving cross country and having my own agility field to train and teach at to Zae turning 4 and qualifying for World team tryouts…  PYRWILD continues to grow and have opportunities I could only dream of. 🙂

We had our last trial of 2018 and it was probably Zae’s best competition performance wise overall.  Really great moments and speed in the ring with him.  He earned QQ #8 along with his masters agility title (MX) and novice fast title (NF). 1st and 2nd in T2B and some beautiful premier standard NQ’s.

It was the boston terrier club trial too so Stormy got to come out of retirement for a run each day and Mayhem got to run too.  I had been taking a break from trialing Mayhem so I could mentally focus on Zae but T2B each day was perfect to enter.  Stormy hadn’t trialed in over 3 years and we don’t practice for her soundness.  Both dogs did really super.  Stormy loved every second of it and Mayhem even earned 1st place.

I am so grateful for all we got to compete this year and the fun times we had.  Along with the beautiful places we’ve got to experience for hiking and agility.  Zae and I have also become a stronger team and continue to understand each other better and better each trial.  I continue to learn and become better with this little dog !  We’ve also kindly been welcomed into the agility community here in Oregon and continue to meet cool new friends. 🙂

Thank you to everyone who was part of our year.  Thank you for all the love and support and a huge thank you to all my amazing students for giving me the opportunity teach and honor of working with them. ❤️ Looking forward to all the amazing moments and opportunities 2019 brings !

Zae Qualified for WTT 2019 !!

Feels so unreal !  AWC has always been my dream and biggest goal since I started competing in agility in 2009.  Something that always felt very far in the future or out of reach.  We’re not there, yet.  But we’re closer.

Qualifying for and attending tryouts (in May !) is a major dream come true in itself- to have gotten this far feels incredible.  And with my little dog who some years ago I didn’t even think would end up doing any agility. 🙂  We kept at it and never gave up.  Dreaming turned into little steps and planning as we keep unfolding towards our path.  The beauty is in the journey and continuing to live out our dreams is such a cool feeling !

Today’s message truly is Never Give Up and Keep Dreaming ❤️ If you keep going, even taking baby steps, you’ll end up somewhere. 🙂

I am so thankful for these special dogs and the lives we get to live together each day.

Also, coming soon is the Agility Resource & Community.  ARC is the ultimate handler resource for training, competing and collaborating.  Exciting stuff !!

Zae AX and first QQ

Zae recently earned his AX putting him into masters standard.  Our competition after that he earned his first double QQ with a third and fourth place 😀

Mayhem has been doing super too and running very fast in competition.  He is such an amazing dog and it feels great to be pushed as a handler in the ring with him.   The Bad Dog Agility power rankings are out for the beginning of the year and Mayhem is the 3rd fastest boston this year so far…I intend to keep pushing to be the best we can be 🙂

Next several competitions are all in different locations and on different surfaces–excited for a change ! 🙂
